Press On Nail Care Guide

Press On Nail Care Guide

With a little care after removal, your press on nails may be suitable for future wear. Results vary depending on how the nails were applied, worn, and removed.

Step 1 – Gentle Removal

Always remove press ons slowly and carefully. Soak your nails in warm, soapy water for several minutes to help loosen the adhesive before gently peeling from the side. Forcing or ripping nails off can damage both the press on and your natural nail.

Step 2 – Glue Removal

Once removed, use a wooden cuticle stick or a soft cloth to gently lift any remaining adhesive from the underside of the nail. Avoid metal tools or harsh scraping, which can scratch the surface. A small amount of acetone on a cotton swab can help dissolve stubborn glue — just keep it away from any painted or embellished areas.

Step 3 – Cleaning & Drying

Rinse the nails gently with lukewarm water and pat dry with a soft cloth. Allow them to air dry completely before storing — any trapped moisture can affect fit and finish over time.
